Thinking differently comes naturally to us. Ideas, however random, have always been at the heart of what we do. Face time with journalists and influencers is always going to be on our agenda but sometimes it’s worth going that little bit further and creating an experience that they’ll never forget. Cue our events and ability to create and curate everything from a tailored tour to a Christmas press show for hundreds of contacts. We love staging headline grabbing photocalls too. Amazon - Christmas Virtual Showcase

Due to Covid-19, in October 2020, the Amazon Christmas Smiles Delivered Showcase changed from a physical to a virtual event. This took the form of an interactive story book, showcasing the best of Amazon at Christmas to the short and mid-lead media. The event included live workshops (some with Stacey Solomon), pre-recorded influencer content and product round-ups to arm journalists with all they needed to fill their Christmas pages and gift guides.

311 journalists logged in to browse the story book. Within a week, 470 pieces of coverage had landed.

The showcase followed a smaller long-lead virtual event held in August.

In 2019, the Christmas Delivered event was held in September, a change to previous years which saw the event being held in the more traditional month of July. This move was made to accommodate an ever-changing media landscape, taking on board lead times while prioritising the demands of the growing digital media space. Held exactly 100 days before Christmas, the event welcomed 391 attendees across 305 titles and showcased 1,000's of products across 27 stores and services.

The September showcase followed a successful press lunch held specifically to target key long-lead media in the summer.

Beefeater - 24 hour press trip
To capitalise on Beefeater’s unique 24 hour steeping process the most talked about press trip in London was created. Starting and ending at the distillery, journalists began by adding botanicals to the stills and ended by tasting their handiwork a full 24 hours later! Inbetween, they got to do everything from power-boating down the Thames at 70 knots to experiencing Smithfield’s meat market swinging into action at 4:30am.

At the beginning of 2007 we had virtually no PR coverage at all, then we employed The Ideas Network. Overcoming considerable logistical problems, they helped us to set up a new samples system and within only a few weeks, the coverage started rolling in. The Ideas Network’s energy and professionalism is extraordinary and I would have no hesitation in recommending them as a PR agency to anyone.
